There isn't room here for a discourse in identification and treatment of head and neck cancer. But to telieve yoiur concern please go and get checked. Caught in the first six months these conditions have a high (80%) healing rate. The stats are reversed for late diagnosis.

That is subject for a textbook chapter, but in short tobacco and alcohol consumption, HPV infection, immunosuppression among others are well recognized risk factors. Treated early, good chance for cure.
