I have had an infection or some type of redness and swelling at my middle finger for over a month. i have tried neosporin, peroxide, steroid cream, amoxicillin, i am not sure what it is and why it is itchy and painful?

what you probably have is herpetic whitlow which is an infection with Herpes Simplex. This is a viral infection and would not respond to any of the treatments you’ve had . You can treat this with acyclovir which is an anti viral medication. The infection usually resolves over 3-4 weeks.
