Suddenly my face turned red and hot i've been taking amoxicillin for 3 weeks now for tooth infection prescribed by my dentist and ibuprofen 400mg a day... other than that nothing out of the ordinary. what can it be?

This was an episode of vasodilation causing flushing and a heat reaction. It could have been medication induced or caused by inflammatory subdtances response to infection or even transient body temperature change. Thankfully a fever didn't follow.

You have a tooth or teeth that are infected or a gum / periodontal disease that is causing your problem. Now do what is right now and go to your dentist for treatment
