Supplements (like this) are by law not required to prove safety or effectiveness before they are sold. The FDA will look into these if there are side effects or injuries reported after their use, but otherwise the consumer is on their own to decide if there are any benefits with their use. I would certainly never delay or avoid traditional medical care for such products.
