A member asked:

I have low cortisol. 2 months til i can see the endo. what can i do for symptoms in the meantime? i am shaky, crampy, twitchy, tingly, numbness. high anxiety over symptoms. :( diet? meds? vitamins?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If truly low cortisol (mildly uncommon) that can potentially be quite serious with electrolyte abnormalities, hypotension and fluid imbalance, None of the over the counter remedies will help unless you know the results of certain critical blood tests. If you can’t get in before 2 months go to Urgent Care and request a blood glucose and “renal panel”
