Contact with a person applying the wax (unrelated to the type described) and the genital area can infect the individual receiving the wax treatment. Herpes is extremely infectious and can be treated with the onset of symptoms, but as a virus, it "lives" inside the cells, and will not be permanently "cured" using "antivirals".
