Social anxiety is anxiety generally limited to social situations. ASD entails deficits in social communication and interaction, restrictive, repetitive patters of behavior, interests or activities, present from early development that impairs ones function-much more pervasive than social anxiety, though many individuals with Autism spectrum disorders have some social anxiety.
