There are many.: People with autism spectrum disorders have a number of people helping with their care. The care team includes a pediatrician, a pediatric neurologist or developmental-behavioral specialist, physical, occupational, and speech therapists, and sometimes other specialists.

Guardian angels: Paraprofessionals who do the actual caretaking can be certified nurse assistants, group home providers, family members, etc. The professionals involved are those already stated, plus social skills group therapists, board-certified behavioral analysts, & special education advocates.
