A member asked:

I had a scan done today and was told my liver is sitting above my hip, instead of wear it should be, why would this be please?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Perhaps: An anatomic variant called a reidel's lobe. This is of no concern. Always advisable to correlate this kind of information with your doctor as liver enlargement and masses can also do the same thing.
