A member asked:

35/f, been on same birth control for 6 yrs, spot a couple days a month ever since. had trans-vaginal sono 2 mos ago and blood tests, all clear. switching bc to see if that helps. if spotting 6 yrs, cancer wouldve shown up on sono at this point?

If your "birth control" is a low dose oral contraceptive, the "spotting" may come from not taking the active pills within the same hour of the previous day's active pill, leading to "breakthrough bleeding". Keep the active pills at almost the same time each day to avoid this kind of spontaneous spotting.
