Yes. You should be ok with Aleve for pain as long as you follow the instructions on the bottle. If pain persists or worsens over time, then you should see a doctor for evaluation.

Aleve works well for mild pain, but may cause stomach irritability, and if you have hypertension, and you required a large amount, could affect adversely. Do not forget that high amounts of Aleve and Tylenol can potentially cause liver and/ or kidney issues, so, if low dose fails, have your doctor get involved.

Do not take continuously for more than 3 days. If you look at the bottle caution: consult your doctor if you use more than 3 days. If you have to, you should use it intermittently but you are still at risk for kidney disease, gastro-duodenal ulcer, resistant hypertension , etc.
