With today's "low dose bcp's", a change in time of taking the active pills should be with the start of a "new" pack. Change during the taking of active pills in a given pack, will not diminish contraception protection, but may result in breakthrough bleeding, since the dose of hormones is low, and may be used up before the next (delayed) active pill is taken, causing the bleeding.
