A member asked:

You have hepatitis a b c or d and you are exposed to hiv then the window period is not 6 months but instead 1 year even if are tested with a 4 generation test or a pcr rna test. 7 months out and i am neg, do i have to wait 1 year?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Get tested. If the result is positive, it will not matter if you also have hepatitis. You assumption is likely mistaken. The window period is irrelevant. You can get tested at six months, if it is negative, get retested at one year.
