Your GP or PCP would be best to make the referral as being aware of your current knee issues, workup done, treatments, etc. For acute issues, you may be able to use an Ortho walk in clinic without a formal referral and if available in your area.

ASK TO BE REFERRED TO A KNEE SPECIALIST IF YOU ARE IN A HOSPITAL SETTING OR INSURANCE PROGRAM. YOUR DOCTOR CAN REFERR YOU TO SOMEONE HE OR SHE KNOWS.
