A member asked:

I was told i have genital warts but i never had sex and looking up online it says thats hpv. which is an std. where do i go to get tested?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

HPV is not always sexually transmitted. It could get through an abraded skin to set up infection. The important thing is to be evaluated to be sure of diagnosis. Health departments have STD clinics or you may be evaluated by your regular physician. It is also important to avail yourself of the available HPV vaccine that could prevent future infection of fatal versions of HPV.
