Are there any major differences between the symptoms of uti and urethritis?

Both often cause burning with urination and irritation of penis. HOWEVER, very different causes and treatment. Urethritis generally a sexually transmitted disease (gonorrhea or chlamydia most common), UTI uncommon in otherwise healthy young men and caused by gram negative bacteria. Different Rx for each. Need a specific test to distinguish. See your doctor
