I experienced 2 periods in less than 20 days that were both extremely heavy to soak a pad in less than 2 hours. no cramps or pain. i am still breastfeeding for 1 year. can this be normal due to breastfeeding or miscarriage that i didnt know about?

Breastfeeding, especially after 6 months postpartum is not an effective method of contraception. There is no way to know if this was a miscarriage unless you tested for pregnancy or hCG. As your child gets older and drinks less breastmilk, your hormones will begin to return to normal and may lead to irregular periods. Use an effective alternative form of birth control.
