A member asked:

Is endometritis an sti ,how does it cause infertility, what's the treatment for endometritis and how can one tell she's healed from it????any symptoms for endometritis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

"Endometritis" is inflammation or actual infection of the uterine lining. This may produce fever, pain and vaginal discharge in some instances. Contact your gyn provider, who may order a culture, and other treatment. Endometritis is not necessarily a STI, but STI's are a common source of infection of the female genital tract.
