A member asked:

How long does it take for heparin's anticoagulant effect be completely gone after termination of continuous (for many days) iv infusion of 1400iu/h in a 120kg patient? liver/kidney function is normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The anticoagulant effect of Heparin wears off in 6-8 hours after last dose. One day would be more than sufficient for any residual effects to dissipate.
