YOUR TEETH COULD BE WEAK FROM A BAD BITE OR PREVIOUS TRAUMA. AN OLD FILLING IF PRESENT COULD BE WEAKINING. HAVE YOUR DENTIST X-RAY THE TEETH AND YOU MAY BE A CANDIDATE FOR LAMINATES OR ZIRCONIA CROWNS.

I suspect the front teeth have previously been hit and cracked allowing for small pieces to be lost. Clenching and grinding of the teeth could also be contributing to the chipping. A bright dental light behind the teeth should reveal any additional cracks in the teeth which are likely to fracture off as well.

The first question is why are they chipping? Grinding teeth? Using it as a tool? Trauma? Smoothing is a good low maintenance way to even the chipped edges, and less expensive than bonding (that can chip off). Getting a protective guard to wear at night might help. Teeth that are worn to a chisel edge are more vulnerable to chipping.
