I recommend getting evaluated and treated by your physician or a gastroenterologist as hiccups lasting over 48 hours interfere with your daily activities & can cause health problems. The associated ear discomfort is unusual. In my opinion, old fashioned thorazine is the most effective treatment for prolonged hiccups.
