Since cognitive change can be secondary to sleep disorder, thyroid problems, medication and drug reactions, emotional distress, vitamin deficiency, chronic infections, etc.; suggest contacting your physician and undergoing thorough evaluation. Psychological testing may provide guidance, and neurology may be required to further evaluate.

After seeing your doctor to rule out or identify physical conditions, a neuropsychologist can be helpful. He/she can do extensive testing and help you understand what aspects of your cognition is strong and what isn't. Then some recommendations as to how to work w/this can be provided.
