Height affect weight: The average weight for a 9 1/2 year old boy is approximately 66 pounds . However, a child's weight is also dependent on how tall the child is in height. If a child's height is greater than the 50%, the weight also may be greater than the 50% (average) and still be an appropriate weight for the child's height.
