A member asked:

I had oral surgery today. they said take tylenol .. the pain is too intense , i have naproxen and hydrocodone that is slightly expired . would either one of these help with the pain more ? if so which one is better ?

Either of the medications should help. Probably hydrocodone would be more effective for a quicker effect. I would contact your PCP as soon as possible to obtain a prescription for more current medications.

Pain is usually expected after surgery but expired medication isn't as effective . .Get a new RX ASAP and rinse area with peroxide and water and place an ice pack over area.
