A member asked:

Lower right mild abdominal pain that has lasted for 3 1/2 days. i have had no fever, nausea, or vomiting. i can walk fine and no loss of appetite. is it appendicitis or am i just focusing too much on the abdominal pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Consider too much focus on self diagnosis of appendicitis. Appendicitis usually is associated with nausea, lack of desire for food, pain around your umbilicus which localizes to the lower right quadrant of your abdomen in 24 hours or less. To help with the need for an examination, jump off a short step and see where the pain localizes.
