A knee jerk is a natural reaction to tapping the front of the knee just below the kneecap. We MD's do it in the course of an examination with a rubber reflex hamjer. I see no harm in you doing this. Both knees should react &to the same degree. Otherwise neurological disease is present. Some people have more brisk knee-jerk reactions than others but as long as they're symmetrical, they're normal.
