For the past week i have been very strict with my diet. i have been maintaining a calorie deficit. i drink 2l of water a day and have been going for a 3,5km brisk walk daily. yet i am gaining weight. why?

There is missing information. How is your general health? Have you had a physical recently? How long are you been reducing your calories? Keep a diary of what you eat and how much exercise you do , weigh yourself at the same time daily, and bring that to your primary care doctor
