My baby is due soon. i want to ensure baby is safe around new people in those first weeks and months. which vaccines are needed for my baby before they are able to safety see friends and family? how long until baby has a better immune system?

Normal newborns have good immune systems, meaning all normal babies have normal immune systems... for a baby. I advise my patients to protect newborns from contact with other people (except the 1 to 4 primary caretakers) until passing the 3-month mark. Parents are so much happier because their baby is vaccinated, happy, growing, and not sick with colds, fevers, diarrhea, the flu, or COVID.
