Where exactly is your pain-shoulder, hand, wrist, upper or lower arm? You should see a doctor to get examined and get x-rays if needed. Treatment will depend on exactly what the injury is. If there is a shoulder dislocation, it would need to be put back into the socket, for example. Feel better real soon-let someone else walk your dog for now, until your arm is healed!

Although you do not specify where the symptoms are located, a few comments might help. First, it is not unique to injure the shoulder when a dog jerks the leash, but problems at elbow and wrist can be encountered. Sounds like this is more than soft tissue strain, and an exam by your doctor is in order. Imaging may be needed, and treatment can assist your recovery. Get started today.
