Iron deficiency is common in women due to menstrual bleeding. If iron is taken in excess, there can be toxicity. Diseases of aging such as Alzheimer’s disease, other neurodegenerative diseases, arteriosclerosis, diabetes mellitus have been linked to excess iron. Those doses are not fatal. See your doctor, for clarity of your situation.
