A member asked:

Is it normal to be able to feel scratches and not light touch on back of hand? i can feel when i scratch myself, but light touch is barely noticable. this happened after trauma?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Loss of ability to sense light touch is a sign of neuropathy which, in your case, may be due to nerves damaged from previous trauma to the hand. A neurologist can evaluate and advise you about your loss of light touch sensitivity.
