My left nostril is stuffy from allergies. i just tried to blow my nose pretty hard and all of a sudden my heart started pounding is this normal? i was nervous an saw on google to do valsalva maneuver and within a few seconds my heart slowed?

Good observation. If you look at time course of valsalva u will note the first response is slowing of heart rate and then when you stop heart speeds up. Historical note: this maneuver was first developed to get pus out of kids ears when they had bad infection. Go to uptodate.com and read more. Then discuss with your team.
