Regular, consistent use of hormonal oral contraceptives prevents ovulation and prevents pregnancy. The bleeding at the end of the 21 days of hormone pills, during the 7 days of non hormone pills indicates that there is not pregnancy. Spotting, bloating and stomach issues do not indicate pregnancy. If they continue, discuss this with your DR.
