Mild anemia of normocytic normochromic type could be present and if hemoglobin has not changed much from past, it is ok. If reduced then look for chronic diseasss, renal failure, poly myalgia rheumatica, endocrine failure , acute blood loss, or marrow failure. Treatment is of underlying disease will correct the anemia. Red blood cells are normal in size and pigment that is hemoglobin.
