Yes! There are a number of oral and inhaled drugs that can decrease or eliminate your dependence on prednisone. Cannot specify or order on this site. Suggest you see a Pulmonologist for a detailed discussion of your symptoms and potential RX

I am on Medrol (methylprednisolone) for a second time for asthma, and both times after the third day i get really loopy and mentally out of it. Should i stop taking it?
Rec'd Medrol dose pack for asthma flare-up yesterday. Doses (24mg max) seem lower than what I've taken before (40mg prednisone). Is Medrol dose pack sufficient for asthma flare? Traveling soon so want to be sure I get right treatment before leaving.
My temperature yesterday was just under 37.5. I do not usually present with high fevers. I never have. When I had malaria (years ago) my fever only went up to 39. I do suffer with chronic asthma and do have times where I nebulise and take cortisone.
My son 10 yrs old have acute asthma and developed bronchitis. He's complaining about his chest that feels like razors and he got a nose bleed. He's on cortisone. Can the meds cause nose bleed and should I be worried about his chest?
