What could cause the feeling that i was short of breath, but not currently short of breath especially when i wake up? i went to the er with chest pain. tests and xrays pointed to pneumonia about 12 days ago. is this the pneumonia?

Pneumonia can cause shortness of breath and the air ways and lung may need to heal. There are many other reasons for shortness of breath. So, in order to be firm about the issues a full evaluation would need to be done.
