I had a severe cramping pain in my head for a few seconds, it passed and a headache followed. after a night sleep and 24hr later the headache did not go away, and i started experiencing mild dizziness, is this a cause for concern of something serious?

A headache with neurologic symptoms, that lasts 24 hours requires a work up to determine cause. This may be a migraine, tension type headache, occipital neuritis, or more severe causes. Call your doctor or a headache specialist for a work up. Good luck
