A member asked:

On zoloft for 2+ yrs.i lowered dose w/dr approval. in general if memory loss was a side effect does lowering help? i think my memory is improving. im trying to determine if it is coincidence. looking for a textbook ans & will discuss further w/my dr?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many medications possess anti-cholinergic side effects, and this can promote cognitive compromise. Perhaps your Zoloft does cause memory issues, as you have noted. Perhaps consider a newer anti-depressant. Discuss with your doctor
