Last night i woke up twice from sleep with the pain. it felt like i hit the left side of my face with something hard. i managed to go back to sleep after covering the left side with a cold towel. it is constant. please help?

With the severity...: There are several explanations for the headache described. Top of which are Migraine and Sinus Headache. With the severity noted a Good Medical Physical Examination is necessary. At that time need for further Lab or Imaging investigations will be determined. The sooner the better.

ER: Anybody got a new onset severe Facial pain or severe headache should seek immediate attention to emergency room. Possibilities include severe significant infection of the sinuses or face or brain infection brain injury bleeding into the brain or stroke these can be life-threatening illnesses and you need to be seen properly get immediate medical attention from a physician
