Further evaluation: You need to be seen by a gastroenterologist and give him your full history. The location of the pain, its characteristics including time after eating and duration. Any belching or vomiting. Any change in bowel habits. You may require further tests such as an upper GI or barium swallow or MRI. Information from the tests will help your doctor discuss etiology and possible treatment.
