IUD ?'s: If the IUD was removed prior to ovulation in the cycle described, pregnancy is possible, and may occur outside the uterus (ectopic). Obtain a serum HCG test to make certain about pregnancy, and see your gyn physician immediately if the test is positive. If the test is negative, and the bleeding persists, see your gyn physician for an exam and other testing.
