Is getting a concussion from bumping your head around the house common?

Depends: It usually takes quite a bit of force to the head to cause a concussion (it is like a bruise inside the head) , but yes, it can happen around the house if one falls hard onto a hard surface or gets hit hard in the head by a door or falls in the tub or shower. Loss of consciousness for any length of time & ongoing headache or memory problems are more worrisome for serious injury & need Dr eval

Possible : Certainly a concussion can occur anywhere and is defined as an acute closed head injury causing amnesia and/or loss of consciousness or both. More often a scalp hematoma or “goose egg”, from bumping head
