My period is every other week for past month after not having it for 3 months. i also get excruciating pelvic pain, back pain, sex has been painful for years, i can't wear a tampon, it that burns as well. thoughts? doc is next week?

Frequent "periods" ?: Bleeding "every other week" does not represent actual post ovulatory menses, but may be caused by other factors not related, including polyps, breakdown of endometrial lining, pregnancy outside the uterus (ectopic). Obtain a serum HCG test and if positive, see your gyn provider asap for an exam and other testing, as ectopic pregnancy needs immediate attention.
