I'm almost 28 weeks pregnant. been getting dry itch feeling on and off but you can see dry skin on certain spots. i tend to get itchy after a shower it seems on my back and legs. if i moisturize i feel good. some days nothing. is this cholestasis?

Cholestasis: Unable to determine. Cholestasis of pregnancy is diagnosed based on symptoms and lab studies. Typical scenario of cholestasis of pregnancy is itching and lab tests show elevated bile acids/bilirubin. You need to inform your obgyn about the itching ASAP, since cholestasis of pregnancy is serious and may lead fetal death. However, I do not want to alarm you. You need an eval by obgyn ASAP.
