I have a right arm pain. from the shoulder to the hand. when i swallow i experience a burning pain in the lower arm as if the food travels through my arm. it spreads to the neck, the ears and headache. 4 years of dr appointments with no help?

Possibilities: Two possibilities come to mind. One is an esophageal motility disorder which can cause upper back and arm radiation. A gastroenterologist can look into this. The other possibility is a bulging intervertebral disc or spur in the neck pressing on a nerve root during swallowing. An MRI of the verterbrae in the neck checks for this cause. I favor the first possibility if you have no symptoms otherwis
