Im 14 weeks pregnant and have been taking alka seltzer extra strength since beginning of my pregnancy (1 every few days). i had no idea it could cause harm and now i feel horrible. can i still have a healthy pregnancy? ultrasound was normal today?

Alkaseltzer: I'm not so sure that the amount of aspirin you've been ingesting every 3 days would be considered high dose or harmful for your baby. The normal ultrasound is reassuring. There are certain instances in obstetrics where pregnant women are instructed to take daily low dose aspirin with no harmful effects on the fetus. Your obstetrician is best qualified to advise you, however.
