MI hi cholest time: Complex. It is hard to made predictions. Especially about the future. ;-) I would go to a Framingham risk calculator on line and play around by entering different gender, ages, cholesterol levels and HDL, systolic BP and smoking history and generate a bunch of plots. Chose yours and you will get a 10 year probability of having an MI over next ten years. Some calculators include family history.
