Had a boil a week ago on the lower left buttock.it popped & the skin got dark & infected(blood+pus).deep pain, cant walk/sit.taking 400mg cefixime since yestrday,now bleeding wont stop.how to stop it? is it bcause of the infection or the antibiotic?

The infection: Not supposed to provide individual advice on this site, just general information. Nonetheless ... the bleeding is caused by the infection. The blood vessels around the infection open wider (to deliver more blood to the area and fight the infection) - also, that’s why it becomes red. Apply pressure to the area. Keep it clean and covered. Cefixime has nothing to do with it
