I am on humulinr u-500 (95 units am and 120 units pm) i'm under cancer care. what does one do when they cannot afford the u-500 insulin? with medicare it is too costly and i don't qualify for company assistance. u100 would be mega doses?

U-100 vs U-500: Converting from U-500 to U-100 can be confusing even to doctors. You may Google search "insulin assistance programs". The American Diabetic Association has a page dedicated to this. See if you can find U-500. If only U-100 is available, ask your prescriber how to convert your current doses.
