Drank for 4 years with gaps in between. no alcohol in 2 wks. buzzing, tingling legs & auditory noise. gp prescribed 600gm thiamine daily and has today tripled vitamin b complex. some of vits in complex quite high. worried is too much?

Alcohol use disorder: It sounds like you might have rather severe alcohol use disorder. Congratulations on holding off -- keep it up! These symptoms and medications suggest your doctor has diagnosed malnutrition and vitamin deficiency, perhaps with neuropathy, all common w/ AUD. It's almost impossible to take too much of these vitamins; follow the doc's advice.Check back with her if concerned. Good luck!

Relatively safe: With a couple of exceptions, most vitamins are safe and are free from serious toxicity. This applies to Vitamin-C(which has been used in upto Gram doses safely. Vitamin A and D have some toxicities after prolonged usage and high doses. So your doctor has given you vitamins at doses which are quite safe by my assessment.
